The original of this sculpture is signed, “Moreau.” Mathurin Moreau studied at École des Beaux Arts in Paris, and assisted Albert Ernest Carriere-Belleuse at his studio and foundry at the beginning of his career. Moreau’s work has been described as “a song of feminine grace.”
