Le Penseur, The Thinker, is one of the chimeras added to Notre Dame Cathedral in the 19th Century restoration.  Technically not a gargoyle (as he does not participate in the drainage of water from the cathedral), Le Penseur meditates on the notion of eternity. A silent observer and guardian, he’s a brilliant addition wherever quiet contemplation is appreciated.
